I saw him for the first time on The Rock Boat XI, at a songwriters session and was impressed enough to want to see him perform with his band later that day. I’m now a big fan – this guy can ROCK!
The near acapella piece near the end of If Youre Gone takes me back to when you did it true acapeela at a show I saw in Augusta like 4 or 5 years ago. It was only about 20 seconds of real time, but it stuck with me as very cool the way you stepped to the side of the mic, and basically just yelled the chorus, it was powerful and well done. I listen to the song sometimes just to revisit the memory.
Thats what art is supposed to do, right?
